Semolina (Rava) – 1 cup
Sugar-1 cup
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Water-2 cups
Cashew nuts – 10

To make a delicious Suji halwa in winter, first put 2 cups of water in a pot and boil it on medium flame. The water will take about three to four minutes to boil. When the water boils, turn off the gas and keep the water aside. Now take a pan and heat it by adding ghee. When the ghee melts well, add semolina to it. Now mix semolina with ghee well. Fry the mixture on medium flame till it turns golden brown in colour. It will take about 10 minutes.

When the color of the semolina starts to turn golden brown, slow down the flame and add boiled water slowly. When you add water, stir the mixture continuously with a spoon. The reason why you run well with a spoon is that it will not cause lumps in the halva. Now turn the flame to medium and dry the water. Now add cardamom powder and sugar in the halva and mix well.

During cooking, the sugar will melt completely in a short time and the halva mixture will thicken. Take cashew nuts and almonds and slice them into small pieces. Add these pieces to the pudding and mix well. After making halwa, garnish cashew nuts and almond pieces on top. Now suji ka hot halwa is ready to serve.
